Alice Cooper

American rock star Alice Cooper, originally the lead singer for the band by the same name, burst onto the mainstream rock scene in the early 1970s with megahits including "I'm Eighteen" and "School's Out." The 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies helped the band reach its commercial peak. Alice Cooper began his solo career in 1974 and has tried out various musical styles since then. He has experimented with disco, hard rock, art rock, psychedelic rock, industrial metal and hair metal. He is also known for his gory and theatrical performances, sometimes referred to as the founder of shock rock. With a career spanning almost five decades, Alice Cooper is has been dubbed the world's most "beloved heavy metal entertainer."
