The Arizona Diamondbacks, a former expansion team in 1998, rose from obscurity to the top of the baseball world after defeating the New York Yankees to win the 2001 World Series in their final at-bat, led by future Hall of Famers Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson, and fan favorite Luis Gonzalez. The team currently plays home games at Chase Field, formerly "the BOB" (Bank One Ballpark).
