Altanta Symphony Orchestra : Runnicles Debuts. Spano Solos

One of America's leading orchestras, The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, is currently in its 66th season. The Orchestra's Theater of a Concert format strives to provide a combination of innovative visual presentation and creative programming mix to its audience. The use of different formats, visual effects, and settings are used to enhance performances. The ASO has Robert Spano as music director and Donald Runnicles as Principal Guest Conductor. The Orchestra received the 2007 award for Strongest Commitment to New American Music from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
