Based on the 2005 film, Billy Elliot is an internationally acclaimed musical with music by Sir Elton John. Based in working-class England, Billy Elliot is the heart-warming story of a boy who fights against the grain to become a ballet dancer, rather than a boxer. Premiering on London's West End, the musical has played in Australia and on Broadway in New York City, where it has won 10 Tony Awards.
