Yankees – Red Sox, the Hottest Tickets in Baseball

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

The hottest rivalry in baseball has been the Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees. Over the years, tickets to to Fenway to see the visiting Bronx Bombers as well as when the AL powerhouses meet in NY has been the toughest in the MLB to come by.  This year is no different, however, tonight fans can get tickets to the Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees for as little as $9.

Yankee Stadium Map (Red Sox at the Yankees)Yankee Stadium Map (Red Sox at the Yankees)

The new, bigger Yankee Stadium means there are more tickets to be had. This is translating into great deals for fans. For tonight’s game, Field dugout seats can be had for $199, main dugout for $40, and bleachers for $18.

The teams meet in four more series this year.  If you can’t make it tonight, take a look at the date for the remaining series in New York and Boston.

New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox    Fenway Park (Boston, MA) June 9-11

Tickets start at $66

Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees    Yankee Stadium (Bronx, NY) Aug. 6-9

Fenway Park Map (Yankees at RedSox)

Tickets start at $37

New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox    Fenway Park (Boston, MA) Aug. 21-23

Tickets start at $69

Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees    Yankee Stadium (Bronx, NY) Sept. 25-27

Tickets start at $53

TIP:

- If you want to be sure to get the seat you want, jump on it early.

- If you are flexible about where you sit, waiting until closer to the day of the game will often save you money

(caution: if you wait, be prepared to risk that the price may go up as the game approaches, which happens for the ultra high demand events.)

Love Those Game 7’s!

Friday, May 1st, 2009

The Bulls withstood Ray Allen dropping 51 with their “instant classic” triple overtime win over the Celtics. The Heat, behind 41 from D-Wade, spanked the Hawks. NBA fans, even though it is still the first round, we have a couple of awesome game 7’s!

If you are in town, there are lots of great tickets listed for sale:

Bulls @ Celtics 600 tickets listed at $123+ Saturday

Heat @ Hawks 1600 tickets listed at $39+ (WOW!)   Sunday

If not, stake out that spot in front of the flat screen and have a great time. Maybe invite some friends over. The ones that say that NBA basketball is not exciting. I am pretty sure a lot of “honey-do’s” are not getting done this weekend.
