STP announces Stone Temple Pilots Tickets, Tour and Album
This just in from StoneTemplePilots.com, “STP fans, brace yourselves for the brand new Stone Temple Pilots album, set to release on May 25th!” And then this today, “In anticipation of their upcoming new album, STP is going on tour this spring.”
That’s right, STP frontman, Scott Weiland, brothers Robert and Dean DeLeo, and Eric Kretz are hitting the road starting next month at South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 18. The Stone Temple Pilots will release their first album in nine years on March 25. We’ve already finding STP tickets with FanSnap.
STP was one of the biggest bands in the world in the early 1990s. Their debut album, Core sold nearly 40 million records. If you were listening to rock in the 90s, you probably know, by heart, the words to “Sex Type Thing,” “Plush,” “Wicked Garden,” and “Creep.”
The band stumbled mostly due to too many scrapes with the law. STP still has a huge fan base, which we saw when the Stone Temple Pilots reunited in 2008 for a brief tour. The reunion tour evolved into a new album and the upcoming STP tour.
