We expect to see lots of buying and selling in the days before the big game as while this is basically a home game for LSU, it is an easy drive for Bama and other football fans across the south. Plus lets face it, there are a lot worse places to spend January than the French Quarter!
It’s College Bowl time! More than 30 games where the alumni and fans of the winners are guaranteed to go home happy! Which game are you traveling to? Can Alabama get by LSU this time? Will Oklahoma State bring their A game, even though the entire population of the state of Oklahoma are now the latest converts to thinking we should have a college football playoff? Sure you could watch all these games on TV, but look at all the tickets available! Road trip!
The Fighting Illini, with their Land of Lincoln trophy win today over Northwestern, earned their third comeback win in a row and are 5-0 for the first time in decades. Certainly the llinois fans have a right to be pumped up. Do they believe?
Just look at the market prices for the Wisconsin @ Illinois tickets, Ohio State @ Illinois tickets, and especially the Michigan @ Illinois tickets – all great upcoming Big Ten home games for the Illini. Growing demand for Illinois tickets, together with lots of Illini fans deciding no way will they miss these games no matter what they are offered for their tickets, has pushed market prices for these three big games up 36%, 14%, and a whopping 65% respectively in the last month.
It is safe to say we know how football fans are going to be spending their next few weekends in Champaign!
The hottest college football game in the land in 2011 is USC @ Notre Dame.
Nebraska makes the top 20 hottest 2011 college football games tickets list five times — facing Wisconsin (6) and Penn State (20) on the road and getting Ohio State (3), Iowa (10) and Michigan State (18) in Lincoln.
Bama makes list four times. Only the LSU – Bama (5) game takes place in Tuscaloosa. The other three games are on the road against Auburn (7), Penn State (8) and Florida (9).
With the possibility of a missed NFL season still looming, football fans are focused on the college season. The NCAA knows they have a chance to seriously capture the attention of the nation, and this year they are kicking the season off in a big way. The LSU Tigers and the Oregon Ducks, two perennial powerhouses and this year, two Top 10 teams, will square off at Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium. You can be sure that the stadium will be at capacity for the kickoff to the NCAA College Football season.
Both teams are coming off great seasons. The Ducks were undefeated and ranked #1 in the nation going in to the BCS National Championship title game. They lost by three to Cam Newton and the Auburn Tigers. The Ducks enter the 2011 season ready to make another bid for a national title.
The LSU Tigers had a disappointing year, by Tigers’ standards. LSU went 11-2 on the season, beating Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl. For most schools, that’s a stellar season, but Tigers’ fans have high expectations. LSU consistently has some of the best traveling fans, so expect lots of LSU fans in Dallas this September.
Ducks-Tigers tickets at Cowboy’s Stadium will be one of the highlights of the 2011 NCAA Football season. Tickets are completely sold out at the box office, but as we like to remind fans, there’s no such thing as sold our. in fact, there are great deals to be had on tickets. Check below for the most recent ticket data for the showdown in Dallas.
The average ticket price for the Ducks-Tigers game is $397. Considering the season long LSU Tigers tickets average price is $335, and Oregon Ducks tickets are averaging $182 for the season, it’s clear that this game is a must-see.
The minimum price ticket is $67, and there are a total of 7,700 tickets for sale on the secondary ticket market.
Ticket prices have basically held steady throughout the summer. A month ago, tickets were averaging $376, and as of June 25 they were averaging $425. Fans can expect tickets to go up though as the game draws near.
It used to be that the Rose Bowl was the “Granddaddy of them all.” But with the advent of the BCS, the BCS Championship has become the biggest bowl in the land.
Never has that been more true than this year. Demand for BCS tickets is at an all time high. In fact, Auburn – Oregon tickets to the BCS are hotter than any ticket in 2010.
Average BCS ticket prices average $4,600 today. That’s more than 4x what they went for last year. BCS tickets currently start at $2500. We’re showing 1166 listings from nine providers.

As work and school ends for the holidays, sports fans better get ready. Between the NBA holiday games (check out FanDemand rankings here), the final regular season NFL match-ups, and the 2010-2011 NCAA College Football Bowl games, there is a massive amount of exciting sports to be watched in the next few weeks.
To get warmed up for the BCS Bowls, below are the games to watch for this Christmas week and weekend. The bowls are ranked according to their FanDemand ranking, or their average ticket price on the secondary market. Think of these ranks as the demand of tickets for a given event, as the price listed below is largely determined by the fan’s demand for tickets (get it!?).
FanDemand Rankings: Christmas Week Bowl Games
Poinsettia Bowl: San Diego State Aztecs vs. Navy Midshipmen, Thursday, December 23: $143
Las Vegas Bowl: Boise State Broncos vs. Utah Utes, December 22: $107
Hawaii Bowl: Hawaii Warriors vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricanes, December 24: $69
Pizza Bowl: Toledo Rockets vs. FIU Golden Panthers, December 26: $67
Independence Bowl: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Air Force Falcons: $36
The Poinsettia Bowl is in sole possession of 1st place in FanDemand, with an average ticket price of $143. The 9-3 Midshipmen take on the 8-4 Aztecs in San Diego, California this Thursday in what is going to be a great game. The Aztecs have a home field advantage for their first bowl game since the 1998 Las Vegas Bowl, and they will look to running back Ronnie Hillman to help balance out their pass heavy offense. Navy plays a vastly different style of football, primarily through the triple option. With this formula, they are the 5th ranked rushing offense in the country. There will be some touchdowns in this one, so remember to check out FanSnap for tickets.
The Las Vegas Bowl is the premier match-up of the week, between the once-undefeated Boise State Broncos and Utah Utes. The Utes finished their season at 10-2, losing back to back games to TCU and Notre Dame, and the Broncos stand at 11-1 after a devastating loss to Nevada in overtime. Starting Utes QB Jordan Wynn is out with an injury, so all eyes will be on back-up Terrance Cain to lead the team to a victory. However, the Bronco’s have a Heisman Trophy candidate running their offense in Kellen Moore, and if they can control their kicking game, they have a great chance to come away with a win here.
The Hawaii Bowl stands at #3 in FanDemand. Hawaii (10-3) basically has a home game against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes (9-3). In their last six games, which were all wins, the Hurricanes have scored an average of 44 points per game. The Warriors and QB Bryant Moniz will not be passed by though, so we know it will be a good one.

The holidays are here, and ’tis the season to go bowling! This year, 35 bowls will close out the college football season — and crown the National Champion — starting in New Mexico (the New Mexico Bowl) on December 18 and concluding January 10 with the BCS National Championship Game between the Auburn Tigers and the Oregon Ducks.
We know there are a lot of bowls, but we here at FanSnap like to dig a little deeper. We know fans want to know which bowls have the hottest tickets and where does each team’s bowl rank in popularity when compared to the other bowls. We did just that. Take a look at the hottest 2010-11 bowl games.
The BCS Bowls are the premier bowl games, as they include the best teams in the country, and ticket demand typically reflects this. The top five of six in our FanDemand rankings are all BCS bowls, with the National Title Game claiming top spot with an average ticket price of more than $1000.
Interesting to see the Cotton Bowl Classic above both the Orange and Fiesta Bowl: The Cotton Bowl features a Texas team, (the Texas A&M Aggies), which adds to the demand for Cotton Bowl tickets.
Another marquee match-up sits at #10 in FanDemand: the Michigan State Spartans take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Capital One bowl. This is going to be a great game, between two teams who could have easily been in a BCS bowl themselves this season.
This weekend is huge for college football, as many of the big conferences have their championship games, and other dominant teams in the country finish up their regular season. What has been an insane season of college football will definitely end on an equally exciting note; you’re not gonna want to miss a beat this weekend.
This season was the epitome of competition in the SEC, and the championship game this weekend between the Gamecocks and the Tigers is going to be a fierce one. This is the 6th time two teams that played during the SEC regular season meet again in the final. The Tigers barely squeaked out a win last time, but the Gamecocks have been playing some of the best football in the country of late. If the Tigers win, they’ll secure a spot in the BCS National title game on January 10.
SEC Championship tickets are typically some of the hottest of the season, and indeed, this weekend is no different. The $80 drop in tickets from last year to this year may be due to the absence of the Gators, traditionally one of the biggest names in all of college sports. But regardless, the Gamecocks and the Tigers will be a killer game.
The Big 12 was crazy this year. Oklahoma and Nebraska came out on top, and will battle it out Saturday for the Big 12 crown. OU coach Bob Stoops and Nebraska coach Bo Pelini are actually from the same home town of Youngstown, Ohio, having graduated from the same high school. No doubt, TV ratings in Youngstown will be high, as two of the Big 12 powerhouses duke it out on Saturday.
The absence of the Longhorns probably is reason enough for a $87 dollar drop is ticket prices from 2009 to 2010. Big 12 Championship tickets are still a hot item, though, and OU and Nebraska will definitely live up to the hype.
There isn’t a Pac-10 Championship game, but this year, The “Civil War” in Oregon is huge this weekend.
Clearly, the Ducks #1 ranking in the polls (they’re #2 according to the BCS) has driven up demand for tickets in Corvallis this weekend. If the Ducks win, they lock down a spot to play for the BCS National Title.
After losing to Boise State and James Madison in the first two games of the season, the Hokies are on a roll, winning 10 of their last 10. Saturday, the best in the ACC will play for the conference championship: grab Best Value tickets at FanSnap.
Ready for the shocker of the week? While sitting on top of the BCS rankings and wowing fans each week with one of college football’s most dynamic offenses, Oregon Ducks tickets rank a lowly #39 in the FanSnap FanDemand Rankings. Yes, you read that right football fans. Crazy or sad? Where are all the Duck fans?
Climbing the charts are the Big 12 teams which currently hold 5 of the top 10 slots including Oklahoma State Cowboys tickets, Texas A&M Aggies tickets, Texas Longhorns tickets, Oklahoma Sooners tickets and Missouri Tigers tickets.
Looking for the big games this week? The hottest tickets seem to be Alabama Crimson Tide @ LSU Tigers tickets, averaging $385.00, Washington Huskies @ Oregon Ducks tickets averaging $253.00 and a match-up of unbeatens, TCU Horned Frogs @ Utah Utes tickets averaging $237.00.
And with that, here’s the full list. Enjoy!

Well here we are college football fans. Back to where we started. Yes Ohio State tickets are back at #1 on the FanSnap FanDemand rankings. And just in time for the Buckeyes first Big 10 game, a matchup against the Fighting Illini. Ohio State continues to rally fans with their Heisman candidate quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who continues to make incredible plays up and down the field. It’s been a nice start for the Buckeyes, now the question is can they stay hot down the stretch?
Ranking #2 are Iowa Hawkeyes tickets and just behind them, we find the thriller of the past weekend, Alabama Crimson Tide (tickets). Alabama had an incredible comeback victory against Arkansas during week 4 to save their national championship hopes.
Looking ahead, the hottest game for the upcoming week is the Red River Shootout, featuring Texas Longhorns vs. Oklahoma Sooners (tickets). Held on a neutral field in Dallas at the Texas State Fair, this game is always a hot ticket. In fact, tickets are averaging $426.00. Of course the game has lost a little of its lure after the Longhorns loss to UCLA last weekend. Can they bounce back against their arch rival? We’ll have to tune in on Saturday to see.
For the first time this season, we have a repeat #1 in the FanSnap FanDemand rankings. Yes that’s right fans, even with the heartbreaking loss to the Arizona Wildcats, Iowa Hawkeyes tickets remain at the top of the list. Hawkeyes fans are ready to bounce back and should have an easy week taking on Ball State. Of course on the other side of that game, we’d like to see Wildcat fans rally behind their team after that impressive victory. Arizona Wildcat tickets still haven’t broken into our top 25. The Wildcats look to extend their winning streak this week against Cal.
One of the most-anticipated games of the week features #3 on the FanDemand rankings, the Alabama Crimson Tide (tickets) heading to #17 Arkansas Razorbacks ( tickets). This is the start of a three game gauntlet for the Crimson Tide who follow up their game with the Razorbacks with #18 Florida Gators (tickets) and South Carolina Gamecocks (tickets). Both the Gators and the Gamecocks have fallen significantly in our rankings since opening the season at #6 and #18 respectively.
Other hot tickets include Oregon State Beavers @ Boise State Broncos tickets, where the average value is $230.00 and UCLA Bruins @ Texas Longhorns tickets.
Taking a quick look at the conference breakdown, the Big 10 is holding on strong to the two top spots, but the league only has one other team in the top 25. Its clear Iowa, Ohio State and Penn State are pulling in the fans. But what about you Michigan State fans? Surely after that last second, gutsy call against Notre Dame, fans have to be pumped for the Spartans! South of the Big 10, the Big 12 seems to be making a nice move up the rankings. At the start of the season the league had only 5 teams listed. The FanDemand ranking now features 7 Big 12 teams, with the unlikely Kansas Jayhawks leading the league at #6.
Week 4 is the start of conference play for many teams. Game on!

Another week, another #1 in the FanSnap FanDemand rankings. Ohio State Buckeyes tickets started out #1. Alabama Crimson Tide tickets took over last week. And this week, its Iowa Hawkeyes tickets jumping into the #1 spot. It’s not much of a surprise Hawkeyes tickets are in high demand. Iowa is undefeated, with big games against Penn St, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio State just around the corner!
If week 2 is any indication, we’re in for a great season of college football. Michigan Wolverines tickets are certainly headed up with the remarkable performance by Denard Robinson. Can you say highlight reel? Oklahoma Sooners tickets will also be in demand after fans saw their team go from a frustrating performance in week 1 to dominating Florida State in week 2.
Week 3 brings another round of exciting match-ups. The hottest college football tickets in the land look to be Nebraska Cornhuskers @ Washington Huskies tickets followed by Texas Longhorns @ Texas Tech Red Raiders tickets. The Longhorns are hoping to avenge a devastating ’08 loss in their last visit to Lubbock that kept the team out of the national championship game. We’re sure there are quite a few Longhorn fans happy that Michael Crabtree is now wearing a San Francisco 49ers jersey!

After what seems like the longest off-season ever, it’s finally game week! And here at FanSnap we have the scoop on all of the hottest college football tickets.
Curious exactly which games fans are flocking to? Well let’s have a look.
Number one on our list is a can’t miss Monday night game featuring Boise State-Virginia Tech. Should the Broncos win this game, many pundits are penciling them into the national title game. Of course there’s still a LONG, LONG season to go. Here’s the rest of the list. Let the games begin!
Ohio State Buckeyes tickets are the priciest in the county. And why shouldn’t they be? The team is ranked in the top two or three in almost every poll and QB Terrelle Pryor is considered one of the top candidates for the Heisman Trophy favorite.
Ohio State claims seven national titles and Buckeye nation is looking to add to that record with a trip to the BCS. Ah yes, while Ohio State is expected to win the Big Ten, their fans want much, much more.
To accomplish that goal, twelve teams stand in their way. They can’t ask for a better start to the season. The Buckeyes play their first four games – all out of conference games at home. Then they have the Big Ten gauntlet with the toughest battle towards the end – - Ohio State-Iowa tickets should be hot ones!
With returning Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram, Alabama Crimson Tide tickets are some of the hottest in the nation. Of course Ingram is only part of the team. They also return QB Greg McElroy and a number of skill positions at least on offense, however the defense will feature fresh talent with nine new starters.
Fans are clearly excited. In fact nearly 85,000 showed up for the spring game – five months ago!
So what should we expect from the Tide?
“You’ll see some different things,” said McElroy. “I don’t think there’s anything I want to leave out in the open. We have a few things up our sleeves that we might save for a rainy day. Obviously you want to do some different things each year. One or two different things this year should help us out a lot.’
The Alabama Crimson Tide have a daunting schedule this year. They face Penn State in week two and then start the SEC conference schedule in week four. Looking to attend the biggest games? Get your Alabama-Florida tickets, Alabama-Arkansas tickets and Alabama-LSU tickets today!
Ah yes, the Fighting Irish have one of the most storied traditions in all of football. The team has won the most national championships and produced the most All Americans of any team, however the Irish hasn’t quite lived up to expectations over the last decade.
New coach Brian Kelly and a motivated group of players will try to change that this year. The team has a balanced schedule taking on a number of teams that had losing records last season, however they’re likely to have some feisty battles as well.
