Jack Johnson Concerts Getting Rave Reviews
Wednesday, July 14th, 2010Jack Johnson tickets have been in the top searches we’ve seen on FanSnap over the last month, with fans flocking to see the swooning surfer. He finished up the first leg of his tour, but don’t worry fans, he’ll jump back on the road on Aug 13 for another 20+ shows. The second leg of the tour will take him to many of your hometowns, including Dallas, Denver, Hollywood, Atlanta and more. It’s not too late to grab your Jack Johnson tickets and see what all the fanfare is about.
Here’s a sampling of reviews:
National Post: Johnson and his three-piece band played an amazing two-hour show that somehow managed to deliver the electric buzz of a live concert, while hanging on to the mellow vibe that Johnson has become known for.
The Philadelphia Inquirer: Backed by his longtime trio, Johnson played a likable set of casual ballads, understated funk, and light rock. To the Sea, Johnson’s fifth studio album, is more electric than most of its predecessors, and songs like “You and Your Heart,” “At Or With Me” and “Red Wine, Mistakes, Mythology” grooved a bit harder, the latter two featuring Zach Gill’s honky-tonk piano and guest turns from G. Love on harmonica.
The Boston Globe: Johnson doesn’t try for fireworks; he is more interested in the spark that ignites them. His is a slow and steady build, as placid as the waves that lap the shores of his native Hawaii.
The Boston Herald: A fair-minded, family-friendly nice guy/superstar who’s low on pretension
and high on, well, life. Johnson and his backing trio played a 24-song, 105-minute set in the key of mellow, often with video of the ocean or sky on the curved screen behind them.
As if seeing Jack Johnson live isn’t enough, you could be like these lucky gals and get called on stage to be back up singers! Pick me please!!
