Arkansan Kris Allen’s victory in last week’s American Idol finale has supercharged interest in the American Idols Live 2009 Summer Tour.

Since the show, interest in the tour has skyrocketed, with searches for American Idol tickets on FanSnap the most popular request by far, outpacing the combined searches for Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, Beyonce, Dave Matthews, and Kenny Chesney!

The 50 city tour, starting July 5 in Portland, features Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver, and Scott MacIntyre.

Today, American Idol Live Tour tickets went on sale to the public in the mad scramble that is the Saturday 10AM multiple-browser-window drama that many have come to take for granted.

There are over fifty shows on the 2009 summer tour starting in July, and as has become tradition, all the finalists will be performing - Kris Allen, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta,  Megan Joy, Adam Lambert, Scott MacIntyre, Lil Rounds, and Michael Sarver.
