Hottest NFL Championship Weekend Tickets

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

This Sunday’s AFC and NFC Championship games feature some of the most intriguing teams of the entire NFL season. In the AFC, The New York Jets and head Coach Rex Ryan travel to Pittsburgh to take on QB Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers. Ryan knows how to shut down an offense, after backing up his trash talk last weekend against the New England Patriots. Roethlisberger is Superbowl proven, though, and knows how to win in the clutch. Whoever comes out of this one alive belongs in final.

The NFC Championship game is between the red-hot Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears in a rivalry that has captured the attention of fans around the country. Aaron Rodgers has had a stellar passer rating of 126 since coming back from his week 15 concussion, and he completely dismantled the Falcons secondary last weekend. But the Bears are best known for one thing: defense. This will be an epic showdown, and the winner will undoubtedly deserve a spot in the Superbowl.

We have rarely ever seen tickets in such high demand in the playoffs. Luckily, FanSnap can help football fans get the best NFL Playoff tickets at the best possible value. And if your team happens to win through, you’re definitely going to want to check back here for the best Superbowl tickets.

Check below for our most up to date ticket data for this weekend’s Championship games.

Week 2 NFL Playoff: Preview and Best Value Tickets

Seahawks @ Bears tickets

  • The Seahawks pulled off a massive upset against the defending Super Bowl champs this weekend: they’ll have to beat the odds again this weekend when the take on the Bears. The weather at Soldier Field will likely be a factor, as is the case in Chicago around this time of year. The Seahawks beat the Bears at Soldier field during the regular season, but with the worst regular season record of any Playoff team in history, can the Seahawks once again pull off the improbable and get to the NFC Championship game? Check out some Best Value tickets below.

Jets @ Patriots tickets

  • The Jets and Pats split the regular season matchups – each team winning a game. The Patriots destroyed the Jets (45-3) just a few weeks ago. Can the Jets get their heads right for the rematch this weekend? The Patriots are the favorite to win this Divisional Playoff. Likely MVP candidate Tom Brady will be ready to take on the Jets potent defense: expect a thrilling finale to this rivalry.

Ravens @ Steelers tickets

  • Another rivalry re-match, the Steelers and the Ravens each took a game off one another in the regular season. We know these teams like to play hard defense and run the ball. If history is any indicator, this will be a low scoring, but exciting chess match between two great teams and two great coaches.

Packers @ Falcons tickets

  • The Packers are one of those teams that seemed to have underachieved this season, due to a number of significant injuries to members of their starting lineup. A bit healthier now, the Packers could easily take down the NFC best Falcons this weekend.

Hottest NFL Tickets for Week 6

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Going in to Week 6 of the NFL season, there are no undefeated teams (but plenty of defeated ones: Bills, 49ers, and Panthers are all at 0-5). In lieu of making potentially crude remarks about Brett Favre, or analyzing the Moss-Branch swap in Boston, let’s just get right to it.

NFL FanDemand: Week 6 Match-ups

  1. Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears 10/17/10: $363.00
  2. Miami Dolphins @ Green Bay Packers 10/17/10: $350.00
  3. Minnesota Vikings @ Dallas Cowboys 10/17/10: $332.00
  4. Kansas City Chiefs @ Houston Texans 10/17/10: $331.00
  5. Baltimore Ravens @ New England Patriots 10/17/10: $260.00
  6. Detroit Lions @ New York Giants 10/17/10: $259.00
  • At this point, it’s almost a given that you’ll see the Chicago Bears in the top of FanDemand. They take on the Seattle Seahawks this weekend, and Seahawks-Bears tickets are at #1 on this week’s rankings. Jay Cutler is said to be healthy again, and will get the start Sunday, so expect a strong performance by the home team.
  • The Packers take on the Dolphins, where tickets are averaging $350. Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion last week, and if he can’t play, this game could be very interesting.
  • In Dallas, the Cowboys await the arrival of Favre, Peterson, and recently re-acquired Randy Moss. Vikings-Cowboys tickets take spot #3 on this week’s FanDemand.
  • The Texans got rolled at home against the New York Giants last weekend, but fans in Houston are still optimistic after a 3-2 start by their team. The 4-1 Chiefs are looking to bounce back off a loss to the Colts, who snapped their undefeated record. Chiefs-Texans tickets are fourth hottest in the country right now, averaging $331.

NFL FanDemand: Team Rankings

  1. Chicago Bears $351.17
  2. New Orleans Saints $339.40
  3. New York Giants $301.20
  4. Green Bay Packers $290.00
  5. Pittsburgh Steelers $285.17
  6. Dallas Cowboys $268.83
  7. Baltimore Ravens $263.67
  8. New England Patriots $260.00
  9. Indianapolis Colts $246.17
  10. Philadelphia Eagles $241.83
  11. New York Jets $205.80

Little to no change in the Team Rankings this week. It is interesting to see Bears tickets a whole $150 dollars above New York Jets tickets. The Giants and Jets share the same stadium, and even Giants tickets are almost $100 more than the Jets.

Patriots tickets seem to be locked into the back end of the top ten. After rising consistently for the past few weeks, they’re ticket prices have leveled off. And no matter how poor Dallas plays, Cowboys tickets are still at #6 this week.

NFL FanDemand #5 Chicago Bears Ticket Preview

Friday, September 10th, 2010

We’ve made it to our top 5 FanDemand rankings for this upcoming 2010 NFL Season. And ranking 5th on our list is the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Bears are in a tough spot: last year, they were barely good enough to beat the Detroit Lions but not up to par with the likes of the Minnesota Vikings or the Green Bay Packers. This season, however, may be a different story: many believe the Bears will be a different team because of coach Mike Martz’s influence. Jay Cutler will most likely improve under Martz’s offensive scheme, and with a more positive Cutler comes a better overall offensive attack.

So that means Cutler’s wide receivers, Johnny Knox, Devin Hester, and Devin Aromashodu could potentially all have break-out seasons. Any three of these guys could come strong out of the gate and prove themselves to be worthy of double coverage. Running backs Matt Forte and veteran Chester Taylor round out the Bears offense, and expect to see a lot of them considering the importance of the run game, especially in the NFC North.

Chicago loves it’s sports teams, as evident by Chicago Bears tickets being the 5th hottest in the league this season. Da’ Bears start off their 2010 campaign at home against the Detroit Lions. FanSnap is showing plenty of Best Value Lions-Bears tickets, some as much as 62% off the average ticket price of similar tickets for this game.

The next big match up in the Chicago Bears schedule is when the Green Bay Packers come to town. This game is the huge, considering its potential to forecast what the makeup of the NFC North standing might look like at the end of the season. Be sure to find the best value Packers-Bears tickets at FanSnap.

FanSnap’s Most Popular NFL Tickets in Oct.

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

During October, the Giants moved up three slots to the #1 most searched for NFL tickets on FanSnap.  The Vikings also moved up three slots to the #6 hottest tickets in the NFL, thanks to the high profile play of the definitely not retired Brett Favre.  The undefeated Saints and the Dolphins also moved into the top ten:

1.  NY Giants tickets

2.  Pittsburgh Steelers tickets

3.  Dallas Cowboys tickets

4.  Chicago Bears tickets

5.  Philadelphia Eagles tickets

6.  Minnesota Vikings tickets

7.  Denver Broncos tickets

8.  New England Patriots tickets

9.  New Orleans Saints tickets

10.  Miami Dolphins tickets

Speaking of Favre, he enjoyed himself immensely this past weekend as he threw for four touchdowns in the Vikings’ visit to the Packers at Lambeau Field.  Green Bay fans, who are most certainly counting on Favre to retire into the Hall of Fame as a Packer, nonetheless booed him mightily.  Brett, comfortable as if he were wearing his Wranglers,  just took the Cheesehead chortles in stride and torched his old team for old times sake.  Gee, maybe they will see each other in the NFL playoffs again!

49ers Tickets Up on Coach Singletary’s Tough Love

Friday, October 9th, 2009

After years of underachieving, the San Francisco 49ers have started the 2009 season with a bang, leading the NFC West at 3-1.

The 49ers have mowed through division rivals, pounding the Seattle Seahawks (and Matt Hasselback’s ribs), dispensing with last year’s Super Bowl team Arizona Cardinals, and treating the St. Louis Rams like their practice squad, forcing the Rams to consider immediately selling to Rush Limbaugh.  Only a last second miracle throw and catch from Brett Favre to Greg Lewis has kept the 49ers from being undefeated.

There is no secret to the reason behind the turnaround.  A ferocious defense that is channeling Coach Mike Singletary at his Chicago Bears “Super Bowl Shuffle” finest.  The Hall of Fame linebacker who used to make NFL quarterbacks wet themselves has cloned a team in his image.

The NFL has just released a great video of Coach Singletary on the sidelines that is evidence of the master motivator at work.  No wonder the 49ers are on a mission.  You do NOT want to disappoint this man.  Check it out.

As a result, the 49ers have become the hot ticket in the Bay Area.  Fortunately, at FanSnap, fans can easily find the ticket values among the thousands of tickets available for each remaining game.  Speaking of the Bears, 49ers fans have the November 12 Bears at 49ers game against Jay Cutler and his squad at Candlestick Park circled and tickets are getting hotter by the minute.

Coach Singletary wants winners!

NFL Tickets Single Game On Sales in July

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

NFL fans who sell their extra football tickets on the dozens of ticket sites searched by FanSnap have been making their listings available for some time now, of course.  Most are season ticket holders who are selling the extras for games they can not attend.

Many fans buy these hot tickets as soon as possible to lock in in their entertainment plans.  However, many football fans wait until the team makes any unsold tickets from the box office available first.  If those fans don’t find tickets from the team that meet their needs, then they come to FanSnap.

This moment of truth is called the single game tickets on sale date.  At some point after each NFL team is convinced they have sold all the season tickets they can, each team releases their remaining available tickets to the general public.  A number of teams have already done so.  A few teams wait until sometime in August right before the preseason games start.

The following NFL teams have single game “on sales” coming up in July:

Jul 11  Cleveland Browns tickets

Jul 17  Baltimore Ravens tickets

Jul 18  Tennessee Titans tickets

Jul 18  Denver Broncos tickets

Jul 25  Chicago Bears tickets

Good luck, football fans!  If you don’t find what you want, you know where to find us.  As you can see, there are thousands of ticket listings per game available, some with your name on them!
