NFL FanDemand Rankings: Week 13

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

If there was ever a time to clear your calender for pig-skin related priorities, this is the weekend to do it. Between Thursday Night Football (Texans @ Eagles), Saturday’s NCAA championship games, Sunday’s slew of games, and Mondays paramount match-up of rivals (Jets @ Pats), you have every reason in the world to forgo putting up those holiday decorations for a few more days.

Our FanDemand rankings are back for Week 13, and some of the usual suspects occupy the top six.

FanDemand Game Rankings, Week 13

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens: $457
  2. New York Jets @ New England Patriots, MNF: $325
  3. Dallas Cowboys @ Indianapolis Colts: $292
  4. Washington Redskins @ New York Giants: $255
  5. Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers: $249
  6. San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers, Sunday: $184
  • Debate all you will about which rivalry is more intense, but our FanDemand ranks show Steelers-Ravens tickets are in greater demand this weekend with a $130 higher average ticket price. Both teams are 8-3, both teams are gunning for first place in the AFC North, and both teams are gunning for a win on Sunday night.
  • Even though Jets-Patriots tickets are significantly lower in our FanDemand, expect fireworks on Monday night. Brady has been playing like an MVP quarterback lately, but the staunch Jets defense will do their best to shut them down. It’s going to be a good one in Foxboro.
  • The ‘Boys are 2-1 since firing Wade Phillips, and a win against an injured Colts team would really brighten the mood down in Dallas.
  • Phillip Rivers looks like he may break Dan Marino’s passing record this season, and we all know what the Chargers can do in the last quarter of the season (hint: they win, a lot). Fans in SoCal are getting stoked on their home team… its kind of nice to see the Bolts within the ranks of the FanDemand.

FanSnap can help fans get the best deals on NFL tickets for the rest of the regular season and through the playoffs.

NFL Playoffs Seeds Don’t Match Fan Ticket Demand

Monday, December 28th, 2009

With all the NFL Week 16 games having been played — except for the Vikings @ Chicago on Monday Night Football, which will not impact playoff spots (the Vikes already clinched the division and the Bears have been mathematically eliminated) — we are now getting a clearer playoff picture.

AFC Playoff seeds (teams that have clinched)

  1. Indianapolis Colts tickets 14-1
  2. San Diego Chargers tickets 12-3
  3. New England Patriots tickets 10-5
  4. Cincinnati Bengals tickets 10-5

NFC Playoff seeds (teams that have clinched)

  1. New Orleans Saints tickets 13-2
  2. Minnesota Vikings tickets 11-3
  3. Philadelphia Eagles tickets 11-4
  4. Arizona Cardinals tickets 10-5
  5. Green Bay Packers tickets 10-5
  6. Dallas Cowboys tickets 10-5

With the seasons they’ve had, you might guess the Colts, Saints and Vikings are the hottest tickets in the NFL. Those are safe bets considering they are the top playoff seeds. We took a look at the playoff teams to see who had the hottest tickets and we were a bit surtpried by the results. The Saints and Vikings weren’t even in the top 5. The Dallas Cowboys took the top spot. Here’s how the rest of the teams shook out.

Hottest NFL tickets

  1. Dallas Cowboys tickets
  2. Indianapolis Colts tickets
  3. Philadelphia Eagles tickets
  4. Pittsburgh Steelers tickets
  5. New England Patriots tickets
  6. New York Giants tickets
  7. New Orleans Saints tickets
  8. Miami Dolphins tickets
  9. San Diego Chargers tickets
  10. Chicago Bears tickets
  11. Minnesota Vikings tickets
  12. Cincinnati Bengals tickets
  13. Washington Redskins tickets
  14. New York Jets tickets
  15. Denver Broncos tickets
  16. Atlanta Falcons tickets
  17. Seattle Seahawks tickets
  18. Arizona Cardinals tickets
  19. Green Bay Packers tickets

If playoff spots were determined by the fans who wanted it the most, we expect Pittsburgh and Miami to secure the final two slots in the AFC.

New Orleans Saints Tickets Hotter than Jambalaya

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

After taking out the Atlanta Falcons tonight on Monday Night Football, the New Orleans Saints find themselves 7-0, along with the Indianapolis Colts the only undefeated teams, and the hottest of NFL tickets.

What’s the secret to this years’ breakthrough?  Running back Reggie Bush? Receiver Marques Colston?  Maybe it’s Drew Brees’ pregame chant?  Oh yeah, he plays a little QB as well.

You can still find out for yourself.  The Saints have four games left in the Louisiana Superdome this season, including two awesome matchups in New Orleans against New England and Dallas!  Surprisingly, there is still a great selection of Saints tickets remaining:

Sun, Nov 8 - 3,000+ tickets from $105

Mon, Nov 30 - 2,000+ tickets from $150

Sat, Dec 19 - 1,000+ tickets from $248

Sun, Dec 27 - 3,000+ tickets from $82

The team has come along way from the “Aint’s” and looks poised to make a great run in the NFL playoffs  Enjoy, Big Easy!

5-0 Broncos and Colts Tickets Both Smokin’

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

Two of the key games we highlighted earlier this week were equally entertaining today, with the Indianapolis Colts pounding the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos toppling the New England Patriots in overtime.  Peyton Manning has passed for 300 yards in every game this year.  Kyle Orton has Broncos fans saying “Jay Cutler who?”

Coaches Josh McDaniels of the Denver and Jim Caldwell of Indianapolis off to a great start, two of only a handful of first-year coaches to ever start the season 5-0 and the first time two coaches have pulled this off in the same year.

Can they keep it up?  They both have tough schedules and yes, they do play each other in December!

Sun, Dec 13  5,000+ tickets from $55
Check out the key upcoming home games for both teams.  A search on FanSnap finds thousands of available tickets – from the fifty yard line to the top row, available for each game.  As usual, there is tremendous variability in ticket sellers’ asking prices, so be to zoom into the FanSnap Maps to find the great values, and be sure to check back often.
San Francisco 49ers @ Indianapolis Colts ticketsLucas Oil Stadium
Sun, Nov 1  2,000+ tickets from $74
New England Patriots @ Indianapolis Colts ticketsLucas Oil Stadium
Sun, Nov 15  3,000+ tickets from $109

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Denver Broncos ticketsInvesco Field at Mile High
Mon, Nov 9  3,000+ tickets from $75

Sun, Nov 22  4,000+ tickets from $50
New York Giants @ Denver Broncos ticketsInvesco Field at Mile High
Thu, Nov 26  4,000+ tickets from $69
Is it too early for the ’72 Miami Dolphins to get nervous?  Can one of these teams run the table?  The Patriots couldn’t close the deal in 2007, thanks to the other Manning, Eli.  Would it really surprise you if Peyton were the QB to make it happen?  Stay tuned…  the season is long.

What most fans don’t know is that even though the tickets for those games will not be delivered to season ticketholders for some time, long time ticketholders already know where their seats are.  As a result, some of those fans have already listed some of their tickets for resale on many sites around the web.  Of course, there will be many more fans buying and selling up to and throughout the season.

However, if you want to lock those tickets in now, you can search for your favorite team on FanSnap already.
