Keith Urban Tours with The Eagles and Dixie Chicks

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Keith Urban is embarking on one of the most interesting tours of the summer next week when he hits the road with The Eagles and The Dixie Chicks for six stadium dates. This marks the first Dixie Chicks tour since 2006. The Eagles are the headliner and have been touring in support of their 2007 album, “The Long Road Out of Eden.” This was their first studio album since 1979.

The tour was originally supposed to be eight collaborative dates, but stops in Philadelphia and Hershey, Pennsylvania were canceled last week. For many this may be an odd grouping of artists, but there is no doubt that these six stadium shows will give fans a chance to experience an impressive combination of performances. Fans can find thousands of Eagles Tickets for dates with Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks with FanSnap.

Eagles, Keith Urban and Dixie Chicks Tour Dates:

June-8 Toronto, ON Rogers Centre
June-10 East Rutherford, NJ New Meadowlands Stadium
June-12 Boston, MA Gillette Stadium
June-19 Chicago, IL Soldier Field
June-22 Winnipeg, MB Canad Inns
June-24 St. Louis, MO Busch Stadium

Keith Urban in his own right could be headlining a stadium tour in the near future. Urban has racked up 17 #1 hits in the last decade. Urban, Australia’s native son, began taking the American country music scene by storm in 1999 and has not let up since. Though his marriage to Nicole Kidman brought him considerably more publicity and fame, his music can stand alone as some of the best coming out of Nashville or Sydney. Keith Urban made his name with trademark songs like; “Raining On Sunday”, “Days Go By”, “Making Memories of Us”, and “Who Wouldn’t Want to Be Me”. His songs range from sentimental and somber to passionate and upbeat. Urban is known at his live show for his prowess with the guitar and his ability to engage even the fan in the last row. In addition to dates with the Eagles, Keith Urban tickets are available for a number of shows throughout the summer. Many of these shows will be sold out, but remember to stop by FanSnap.com so you are not left on the outside looking in.

NFL FanDemand Rankings – Week 2

The defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers fell out of the #1 slot in the FanSnap FanDemandsm rankings this week as they travel to Chicago to take on the Bears. The Bears now sit atop the FanDemand rankings. The Steelers maintain a strong #2 position, which means both Steelers fans and Bears fans will be vying for the hottest ticket in the NFL — seats at Soldier Field on Sunday. (see the complete rankings below)

The Cowboys and Patriots remain in the top five. The Giants moved up from #7 to #4. The Eagles fell from #2 to #6.

The Eagles were at Carolina last week, and have the red-hot Saints at home on Sunday, but will likely be without Donavan McNabb who fractured ribs in the Panther game.

The Giants visit the new Cowboys Stadium for the first time on Sunday for what has become a heated rivalry game with the Cowboys. Both teams are coming off season-opening wins. Fans of both teams have high expectations this season.

The Patriots slipped a slot in the rankings this week possibly due to the trouble the team had with the Bills in week 1 – even with QB Tom Brady back under center. The Pats travel to East Rutherford to take on the Jets.

The Bengals (up from #23 last week to #7 this week) travel to Green Bay to take on the #8 Packers.

The Monday night game features the #18 Dolphins at #17 Colts.

What are the Hottest NFL Tickets of the Year? Hint: Favre, Vick

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

A few weeks ago, the scheduled matchup that pitted the Eagles against the Falcons in December was interesting. It was one of the highest demand Falcon tickets. Since the Eagles signed Michael Vick, however, the demand for a ticket in Atlanta to witness Vick’s return has exploded. The average price of a ticket to the Eagles – Falcons game is up nearly $150 to $275 each.

With a storied divisional rivalry like the Vikings – Packers, a soon-to-be Hall of Fame QB in Favre, the Vikings talent and the pride the Packers (a talented team with high expectations), tickets to the Vikings – Packers promise to be some of the toughest tickets in the NFL to score.

Tickets to the two meetings of Vikings and Packers are on par with other big NFL rivalries. Expect demand for these two games to jump significantly as the the ink dries on Brett Favre’s contract and fans see him dressed in Vikings purple.

Favre on His Way to Vikings

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

(UPDATED)

WCCO TV in Minneapolis and ESPN are reporting that Brett Favre will sign with the Minnesota Vikings today.

Favre joining the Vikings shouldn’t by a total shock given the rumors surrounding Favre and the Vikings earlier this summer. Vikings fans were so sure Favre was going to be a Viking for the upcoming season that Viking ticket prices reflected the “Favre effect.”

The get-in price (lowest price) for tickets to Packers at Vikings on Monday Night Football had been $82 for the last few days. That price is now $199 (as of 5:30 p.m. PT)

The get-in price for tickets to the Vikings at Packers on Sunday, November 1 went from $149 to $339 during the same period.

When Brett announced that he’d stay retired, average prices for Vikings home game tickets went down by approximately $20 each.

In the graphic above, you can see the effect on Eagles ticket prices when Michael Vick signed late last week. Average ticket prices for Eagles home games increased by just over $20 each in a matter of days. Vick, while an exciting player to watch will be a back-up QB and may get playing time at other offensive positions. Favre, on the other hand, will be the starting QB for a team many expect to now be a Super Bowl contender.

Demand for Vikings tickets just went up. Vikings fans who don’t yet have tickets should expect average ticket prices to home games in the ticket market to go up by more that $20 each due to the “Farve effect.”

We expect Vikings tickets on the market to go up by approximately $30 each in the next few days.

The Vick Effect: Eagles Tickets Jump on News

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

That’s right. The news is out. Michael Vick  has joined the Philadelphia Eagles.

It is the lead sports story on every TV show, radio, magazine, and newspaper.  Fans are fixated and many seem to be willing to accept Vick back into the league. Will they cheer or jeer the three-time Pro Bowl QB as he returns to the NFL after serving 18 months in prison?

One thing is sure, fans will be definitely be watching. Check out the rise in the price of Eagles tickets since the Vick signing. For example, the December 6 Eagles game in Atlanta that pits Vick’s Eagles against his old Falcons team has seen the average price for a ticket in the ticket market jump by $20.

There is clear interest in Atlanta in seeing their fallen hero play again — even if it’s on the other side of the line of scrimmage.

The “Vick effect” is not confined to Atlanta. Take a look at the average daily price of Eagles home game tickets, culled from the thousands of tickets from the dozens of ticket providers whose ticket results are shown on FanSnap.

The chart above shows the average Eagles ticket was running about $185 each. That is, until the signing announcement. In the two days since the announcement the price of the average Eagles ticket has increased nearly $20.

We don’t know if this uptick in ticket prices will translate into a sea of #7 jerseys at Lincoln Financial Field, but it’s clear, fans are interested in seeing the Philadelphia Eagles with Michael Vick on the field.
