FanSnap’s Most Popular NHL Teams in Oct.

Friday, November 6th, 2009

The NHL season is in full swing, and New York and Boston fans are still the leading searchers for hockey tickets on FanSnap, with Bruins fans edging into first place.

The most popular NHL tickets fans searched for in October were identical to the September hot list although the surging Capitals have moved up four slots to the #3 position and the LA Kings have knocked the Anaheim Ducks out of the top ten.  Have a look:

1.  Bruins tickets

2.  Rangers tickets

3.  Capitals tickets

4.  Flyers tickets

5.  Red Wings tickets

6.  Sharks tickets

7.  Blackhawks tickets

8.  Devils tickets

9.  Avalanche tickets

10.  LA Kings tickets

The interesting thing is that three of the current division leading teams are not on the most popular tickets list: Penguins tickets, Sabres tickets, and Blue Jackets tickets. What up with that?

There are several hot match-ups coming up this week so check out the great selection of: Sabres @ Bruins tickets, Penguins @ Sharks tickets, Kings @ Blackhawks tickets, Penguins @ Bruins tickets, Red Wings @ Blue Jackets tickets, Sabres @ Flyers tickets, and Bruins @ Penguins tickets !

Face off!

Sharks Tickets Heating Up the Ice

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Wednesday night I saw the Sharks take the West-leading LA Kings in a shootout.  Tonight they knocked off the league-leading Colorado Avalanche 3-1.  Fun times in the Shark Tank!

Powered by returning iron man goalee Evgeni Nabokov and past league MVP Joe Thornton, and with the addition of Dany Heatly (who has already scored nine goals this year) perhaps this is the year they will break through, after several unsatisfying playoff exits in recent years.  Nothing less than the Stanley Cup will make the team and fans in San Jose happy.

The Sharks have several great home games coming up:

Sat, Nov 7 - 2,000+ tickets from $76

Tue, Nov 10 - 2,000+ tickets from $26

Thu, Nov 12 - 2,000+ tickets from $29

Fri, Nov 20 - 2,000+ tickets from $46

Wed, Nov 25 - 2,000+ tickets from $52

Tue, Dec 1 - 2,000+ tickets from $29

Thu, Dec 3 - 2,000+ tickets from $24

Sat, Dec 5 - 2,000+ tickets from $42

Wed, Dec 9 - 2,000+ tickets from $27

If you get a chance, check them out and see if you think this is their year!

FanSnap’s Most Popular NHL Teams in Sept.

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Bring on the skates!  The NHL season has just begun, while both the Flyers and the Flames are already 3-0.  We have already seen our first goal scored while sitting down.  And…. we can already tell whose rabid fans are searching for hockey tickets the most on FanSnap.

Check it out!  The Flyers have jumped three spots compared to the August hot list, and the Avalanche have knocked the Kings out of the top ten:

1.  Rangers tickets

2.  Bruins tickets

3.  Red Wings tickets

4.  Flyers tickets

5.  Blackhawks tickets

6.  Sharks tickets

7.  Capitals tickets

8.  Devils tickets

9.  Ducks tickets

10.  Avalanche tickets

The Bruins signed enforcer Milan Lucic to three more years. The Flyers picked up Ray Emery.  The Sharks now have Dany Heatley - who’s ready to take the Stanley Cup?

NHL Playoffs Tickets - Game Six Anyone?

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

All four NHL playoff series have been hard fought with all now set at 3-2, although the Redwings are the only higher seed with the upper hand:

#6 Carolina Hurricanes lead #1 Boston Bruins

#4 PIttsburgh Penguins lead #2 Washington Capitals

#2 Detroit Redwings lead #8 Anaheim Ducks

#4 Chicago Blackhawks lead #3 Vancouver Canucks

Game sixes are always huge as one team could be done - or show major heart and force a rocking game seven.  So here we have it - game sixes all around:

Capitals @ Penguins tickets for Mon, May 11, 7pm ET  (150 tickets from $109*)

Canucks @ Blackhawks tickets for Mon, May 11, 9pm ET  (1600 tickets from $70*)

Bruins @ Hurricanes tickets for Tue, May 12, 7pm ET  (250 tickets from $85*)

Red Wings @ Ducks tickets for Tue, May 12, 10pm ET  (1300 tickets from $50*)

The Hurricanes, Penguins, and Blackhawks could all close out at home, with the Stanley Cup one step closer.  It’s gut check time.
