Lady Gaga Premiers New Born This Way Video

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

Do you have your Lady Gaga tickets yet? The pop star has a slew of North American dates on the horizon including shows in Toronto, Buffalo, and Boston. A quick search on FanSnap shows hundreds of Lady Gaga tickets for these shows just in case you are still on the hunt.

Speaking of Gaga, have you seen her new Born This Way video yet? The seven-minute video is pretty incredible, especially if you are an Aliens fan. It’s a dark sci-fi thriller about birthing a new race of non-judgmental people. Gaga kicks off the video’s extra-planetary premise in voice-over, saying, “On G.O.A.T., a government-owned alien territory in space, a birth of magnificent and magical proportions took place.” Make sense?

The video is certainly the talk of the entertainment business. At least for those not busy with Charlie Sheen! It’s provided great publicity for her “Born This Way” album, due May 23.

If you haven’t seen the video yet, check it out below. And don’t forget to search FanSnap for Lady Gaga tickets!

Breaking down the Grammys

Monday, February 14th, 2011

FanSnap: Coachella PosterA huge, huge congratulations to Arcade Fire. If Coachella tickets weren’t already “sold out,” we have to imagine that having the Album of the Year winner as your headliner would officially do it. Of course tickets went faster than ever and since Arcade Fire isn’t touring this year (at least they haven’t announced a tour), fans might just want to re-think their plans for April! Coachella tickets anyone?

Now back to everyone’s favorite egg. What did you think of Gaga’s stunt? Meat last year. Eggs this year? Sounds like breakfast to us! Costumes aside, Gaga did what she does best – perform! I’m sure it was just a small taste of what we will see at her concerts later this year…assuming you have your Lady Gaga tickets!

Here’s a quick update of other Grammy award winners!

  • Lady Antebellum – The Nashville band took home five awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Country Album, Country Performance by a Duo or Group and Country Song. Lady Antebellum currently has 14 tour dates planned. Search for Lady Antebellum tickets.
  • Esperanza Spalding – Best New Artist beating out the one and only Justin Bieber. Esperanza only has 4 dates on the radar, so you can be sure these Esperanza Spalding tickets will be in high demand. Of course even with a Grammy, Esperanza won’t come close to topping demand for Justin Bieber tickets.
  • Lady Gaga – Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ‘Bad Romance’ and Best Pop Vocal Album ‘The Fame Monster’. Gaga’s tour kicks off next week in Atlantic City. We still have plenty of Lady Gaga tickets!
  • The Black Keys - Best Alternative Album ‘Brothers’

Lady Gaga Wins Billboard Artist of the Year

Friday, December 10th, 2010

After the year she’s had, this makes complete sense. Lady Gaga ticket sales are through the roof. Her albums, “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster” have been huge and currently rank at No. 4 and 13, respectively, on the year-end Top Billboard 200 Albums tally. Four singles from those albums appear on the Hot 100 Songs roundup. Gaga wrapped up SIX Grammy nominations.

Let’s face it, she’s won just about every award out there.

Of course for Gaga its more than just the music. It’s about performance and influence. And she’s been a rockstar on those stages as well. She’s been included in Time magazine’s annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world as well as Forbes’ list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential celebrities in the world. Forbes even placed her at number seven on their annual list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.

Not to be outdone, two other divas are also being recognized by Billboard. Taylor Swift, last year’s Artist of the Year, is #2 for 2010 and Ke$ha was named Top New Artist! She really broke out this year with “TiK ToK” — a track that spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the weekly Hot 100 list.

As far as tickets, Lady Gaga tickets, Ke$ha tickets and Taylor Swift tickets have all be huge. Gaga is still over in Europe, but she’s headed back to the U.S. in February for a whole new set of dates. 2010 was an amazing year for Gaga, but we’re pretty certain the star has something special up her sleeve for 2011!

Lady Gaga’s been one of our favorites to write about. Check out some of our earlier coverage and keep it tuned right here for all the latest on Lady Gaga tickets.

Eminem Leads Grammy Nominations!

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

This year, your favorites have been clear: Eminem tickets, Lady Gaga tickets, Justin Bieber tickets and Katy Perry tickets have definitely been on your hot list! Along with those three, other artists grabbing nominations include Arcade Fire, Lady Antebellum, Cee Lo, Jay-Z, Ray LaMontagne, Miranda Lambert and more. One big surprise? Even though Taylor Swift (tickets) received 8 nominations last year, she was left out this year. That’s okay, we still love you Taylor!

Eminem leads the group with TEN nominations. He had just a few performances this year, but you guys clearly loved him as Eminem tickets surely went fast.

Although these artists are having incredibly successful years, the Grammys still tend to overwhelm them. Justin Bieber appeared live on the show via satellite, unable to contain his excitement, “It feels amazing … I can’t believe I’m in this position! I don’t know what to say!”

Of course it will be a bit before we find out the winners. The Grammys won’t be handed out until February 13, 2011. What do you think? Did the Grammy committee get it right?

Stay tuned right here for all the latest on the Grammys and your favorite concert tickets .

Lady Gaga Rocks The Today Show

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Lady Gaga took a break from her tour to perform live in Rockefeller Plaza for The Today Show this morning. Lady Gaga tickets have been hot sellers so this free show was quite a treat for the estimated 18,000-20,000 fans that packed the plaza. In fact, some dedicated fans started camping out yesterday, waiting patiently in the heat and the rain to catch the performance…and they weren’t disappointed.

Gaga’s set began with “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and then segued into “Bad Romance.” She also performed her latest ballad, “You and I,” while sitting at a piano. After a short break she returned to sing “Alejandro” and “Teeth.” And of course any recap of Gaga has to include a summary of what she wore. She first came out with a sequined, all-white suit complete with sparkly crosses and  later changed into a black outfit that contrasted nicely with her backup dancers.

Today Show host Meredith Viera asked Gaga about fame. Her response: “There are certainly things that are difficult to deal with,” Gaga said. “But the kind of fame that I cherish is the relationship I have with my fans.”

Missed the show this morning? Check out this video of Gaga performing “You and I” on The Today Show.

Lady Gaga at Madison Square Garden

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

While some concerts are having trouble with sales, Lady Gaga tickets continue to be the hottest around. And tonight’s show at Madison Square Garden is no different. Gaga is performing her third show in four nights at the Garden. And fans are loving it. Die-hard fans are already camped out for tonight’s show and lucky for them, pizza is headed their way!

Still undecided about whether you should buy Lady Gaga tickets? Here’s what we’re hearing from her first couple of shows:

Tuesday night’ s New York City show included a tribute to Cher, Madonna, Elton John and the Rolling Stones, all shows Gaga had previously seen at the Garden.  She told the crowd: “My name is Lady Gaga and I used to sit right over there, way far in the back and way up top. I used to stare at this side of the room, and I used to think, ‘I’m gonna be up there.’ Every second you watch me on this stage, you remember, I was sitting where you are.”

Fans were treated to two hours of performance, multiple costume changes and fabulous scenery.

According to the Wall Street Journal, “Gaga whipped out one hit after another. She sang “Just Dance” early in the night and eventually hit “Alejandro,” “Telephone,” and “Paparazzi,” which was especially effective set against the sprawling arms of the Fame Monster. But it was when Gaga sat alone at the piano, dragging metal-studded high heeled boots across the keys, that she shone. Dedicating a song to her father, she delivered a soaring rendition of  ‘Speechless.’ ”

Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour is just getting started. In fact there are still 87 chances to catch the diva. And if you are still on the hunt, search for Lady Gaga tickets with FanSnap!
