Where Will LeBron James Play Next Year?

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

There is no shortage of NBA superstars that could be playing for new teams next year as a result of free agency. Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Shaquille O’Neal, Carlos Boozer, Paul Pierce, Manu Ginobili, Dirk Nowitzki, Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, Marcus Camby, Derek Fisher, Jermaine O’Neal and Tracy McGrady, Rajon Rondo, Rudy Gay, LaMarcus Aldridge and Kobe Bryant are all possibilities. The attention though is on King James.

LeBron James is the 25 year old all-world small forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his short stint as a pro, LeBron has already notched NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA Most Valuable Player in 2008–09 and 2009–10, All-NBA and All-Star in his belt. He’s is often referred to as the best player in the game today and he’s just 25!

While there are some real studs on the list of potential free agents, its understandable why LeBron is the player people are talking about. He’s an insta-franchise. He makes any team he joins an immediate contender. He puts butts in seats and makes the franchise more valuable. We’ll save how much more valuable for another post.

For now, we wonder where you think King James will most likely play next year? Will he stay in his home town or make the move to a major market? He’ll get the max contract where ever he goes so we’d assume he’ll weigh as the most important factor, where can he win titles.
