Lady Gaga Wins Billboard Artist of the Year

Friday, December 10th, 2010

After the year she’s had, this makes complete sense. Lady Gaga ticket sales are through the roof. Her albums, “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster” have been huge and currently rank at No. 4 and 13, respectively, on the year-end Top Billboard 200 Albums tally. Four singles from those albums appear on the Hot 100 Songs roundup. Gaga wrapped up SIX Grammy nominations.

Let’s face it, she’s won just about every award out there.

Of course for Gaga its more than just the music. It’s about performance and influence. And she’s been a rockstar on those stages as well. She’s been included in Time magazine’s annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world as well as Forbes’ list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential celebrities in the world. Forbes even placed her at number seven on their annual list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.

Not to be outdone, two other divas are also being recognized by Billboard. Taylor Swift, last year’s Artist of the Year, is #2 for 2010 and Ke$ha was named Top New Artist! She really broke out this year with “TiK ToK” — a track that spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the weekly Hot 100 list.

As far as tickets, Lady Gaga tickets, Ke$ha tickets and Taylor Swift tickets have all be huge. Gaga is still over in Europe, but she’s headed back to the U.S. in February for a whole new set of dates. 2010 was an amazing year for Gaga, but we’re pretty certain the star has something special up her sleeve for 2011!

Lady Gaga’s been one of our favorites to write about. Check out some of our earlier coverage and keep it tuned right here for all the latest on Lady Gaga tickets.

Lady Gaga Mania: First the Yankees, Now the Beatles?

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

Lady Gaga tickets are the hottest of the summer and her album “Fame Monster” continues to top the charts. It seems we can’t go a day without crazy news from Gaga-land. So what’s the latest?

Lady Gaga just announced a new remix compilation due out later this summer. The Remix contains ten remixes of Gaga’s hits from The Fame and The Fame Monster, including “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” Paparazzi,” “Bad Romance,” “Telephone” and more, all remixed by acclaimed DJs and artists. It will be released August 3 in the U.S.

The singer has also caused some controversy after posing naked while holding a teacup. Never a shy one, she posted it on twitter for fans to see. And finally, Gaga angered a number of Beatles fanatics after Sean Lennon posted a picture of her at John Lennon’s piano. (seen below). Ah the drama.

Sean Lennon: "With gaga at mom's house, she's belting on the white piano..."

Lady Gaga Rocks The Today Show

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Lady Gaga took a break from her tour to perform live in Rockefeller Plaza for The Today Show this morning. Lady Gaga tickets have been hot sellers so this free show was quite a treat for the estimated 18,000-20,000 fans that packed the plaza. In fact, some dedicated fans started camping out yesterday, waiting patiently in the heat and the rain to catch the performance…and they weren’t disappointed.

Gaga’s set began with “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and then segued into “Bad Romance.” She also performed her latest ballad, “You and I,” while sitting at a piano. After a short break she returned to sing “Alejandro” and “Teeth.” And of course any recap of Gaga has to include a summary of what she wore. She first came out with a sequined, all-white suit complete with sparkly crosses and  later changed into a black outfit that contrasted nicely with her backup dancers.

Today Show host Meredith Viera asked Gaga about fame. Her response: “There are certainly things that are difficult to deal with,” Gaga said. “But the kind of fame that I cherish is the relationship I have with my fans.”

Lady Gaga at Madison Square Garden

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

While some concerts are having trouble with sales, Lady Gaga tickets continue to be the hottest around. And tonight’s show at Madison Square Garden is no different. Gaga is performing her third show in four nights at the Garden. And fans are loving it. Die-hard fans are already camped out for tonight’s show and lucky for them, pizza is headed their way!

Still undecided about whether you should buy Lady Gaga tickets? Here’s what we’re hearing from her first couple of shows:

Tuesday night’ s New York City show included a tribute to Cher, Madonna, Elton John and the Rolling Stones, all shows Gaga had previously seen at the Garden.  She told the crowd: “My name is Lady Gaga and I used to sit right over there, way far in the back and way up top. I used to stare at this side of the room, and I used to think, ‘I’m gonna be up there.’ Every second you watch me on this stage, you remember, I was sitting where you are.”

Fans were treated to two hours of performance, multiple costume changes and fabulous scenery.

According to the Wall Street Journal, “Gaga whipped out one hit after another. She sang “Just Dance” early in the night and eventually hit “Alejandro,” “Telephone,” and “Paparazzi,” which was especially effective set against the sprawling arms of the Fame Monster. But it was when Gaga sat alone at the piano, dragging metal-studded high heeled boots across the keys, that she shone. Dedicating a song to her father, she delivered a soaring rendition of  ‘Speechless.’ ”

Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour is just getting started. In fact there are still 87 chances to catch the diva. And if you are still on the hunt, search for Lady Gaga tickets with FanSnap!

Lady Gaga Debuts New Song!

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Do you have your Lady Gaga tickets yet? Her U.S. tour kicks off in just a few days…and if you are in the audience at one of her Monster Ball concerts, you’re likely hear her newest song, “You and I.” Gaga debuted the song Thursday in England at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball.

Lady Gaga calls the song a “bit of a rock and roll tune”.  She goes on to say that it will probably never be used as one of her singles, but the song is very dear to her heart.  Lady Gaga tweeted that the song was written in New York on the piano that she “grew up on”.

So what do you think? We’re betting Jerry Seinfeld won’t like Gaga’s new tune. :)

Lady Gaga Collapses Backstage at Indiana Concert Cancels Concert

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Today, Lady Gaga cancels shows, including:

  • The Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City Saturday Jan. 16 — CANCELLED
  • The Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, Sunday Jan. 18 — POSTPONED

Lady GaGa explained what was happening as it was happening via Twitter. In Lady Gaga’s words…

“I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing”

Lady Gaga

“Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular– a result of exhaustion and dehydration.”

Lady Gaga

“can’t apologize enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage.”

Lady Gaga

“My stage has complicated mechanical elements, everyone was concerned I’d be in danger during the 2hr show, since I had passed out earlier.”

Lady Gaga

“I am so devastated. I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort.”

Lady Gaga

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me. I will make-up the performance on Jan 26.”

After canceling her Purdue concert moments before she was to go on stage Thursday night, Lady Gaga appeared on Oprah Live on Friday leaving fans confused as to why she could perform on Oprah and not at her concerts.

Here’s some Bad Romance lip dub awesomeness for Indiana Lady Gaga fans who now have to wait until January 26 to see the real Ms. Gaga. Don’t have Lady Gaga tickets yet? Find them with FanSnap.
