Breaking down the Grammys

Monday, February 14th, 2011

FanSnap: Coachella PosterA huge, huge congratulations to Arcade Fire. If Coachella tickets weren’t already “sold out,” we have to imagine that having the Album of the Year winner as your headliner would officially do it. Of course tickets went faster than ever and since Arcade Fire isn’t touring this year (at least they haven’t announced a tour), fans might just want to re-think their plans for April! Coachella tickets anyone?

Now back to everyone’s favorite egg. What did you think of Gaga’s stunt? Meat last year. Eggs this year? Sounds like breakfast to us! Costumes aside, Gaga did what she does best – perform! I’m sure it was just a small taste of what we will see at her concerts later this year…assuming you have your Lady Gaga tickets!

Here’s a quick update of other Grammy award winners!

  • Lady Antebellum – The Nashville band took home five awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Country Album, Country Performance by a Duo or Group and Country Song. Lady Antebellum currently has 14 tour dates planned. Search for Lady Antebellum tickets.
  • Esperanza Spalding – Best New Artist beating out the one and only Justin Bieber. Esperanza only has 4 dates on the radar, so you can be sure these Esperanza Spalding tickets will be in high demand. Of course even with a Grammy, Esperanza won’t come close to topping demand for Justin Bieber tickets.
  • Lady Gaga – Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ‘Bad Romance’ and Best Pop Vocal Album ‘The Fame Monster’. Gaga’s tour kicks off next week in Atlantic City. We still have plenty of Lady Gaga tickets!
  • The Black Keys - Best Alternative Album ‘Brothers’
  • John Legend & The Roots – Best R&B Album ‘Wake Up!’ and Best R&B Song. John will join Sade on tour later this spring. Get your John Legend tickets now!
  • Usher - Contemporary R&B Album ‘Raymond V Raymond’. Usher is touring with Trey Songz in Europe and Akon here in the U.S. later this year. Usher tickets.
  • Sade - Best R&B Performance ‘Soldier Of Love’. Sade’s first tour in 10 years! Get Sade tickets now!
  • Eminem - Best Rap Album, Best Rap Solo Performance,
  • Rihanna - Best Dance Recording ‘Only Girl (In The World)’. Get Rihanna tickets today!
  • Neil Young – Best Rock Song ‘Angry World’
  • Muse – Best Rock Album ‘The Resistance’
  • Bruno Mars – Best Male Pop Vocal Performance ‘Just The Way You Are’

So what was your favorite performance of the night? We have to say Norah Jones was pretty awesome, but the trio of Mumford & Sons, the Avett Bros and Dylan just nailed it!
