Great Tickets for Phish in Boston Next Week

Phish fans prepare yourselves, because the band is in Boston again on June 22nd. Next Tuesday @ 7pm, Phish will perform one show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. This Hall of Fame Rock group, originally from UVM, best known for is long jam sessions and undefinable sound, has been compared the Grateful Dead. Much like the Dead, Phish has blown away its adoring fans and audiences for decades and continues to put on great shows today. Ticket prices have kept relatively low probably because the Comcast Center venue has a large open seating area, but that will likely change in the next few days. The average ticket price is currently $57.78. Here’s some good value tickets still out there:

Austin City Limits Festival Announces Lineup

Fans looking to catch The Eagles, M.I.A., Muse, Phish and The Flaming Lips all in one weekend should snap up their Austin City Limits Festival tickets now! In addition to these bands, other big names unveiled today include Norah Jones, The National, The Strokes, Spoon, Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses, Monster of Folk and Sonic Youth. Altogether the festival features 130 bands across eight stages October 8-10, 2010.

Along with the lineup, Austin City Limits festival just released a limited number of single day tickets. Those are likely to go fast, following the three-day ACL tickets which “sold out” at the box office last month in just 14 hours.

In its 9th year, the Austin City Limits Festival has become a favorite for music enthusiasts around the world. Last year’s ACL ranked No. 4 on Billboard’s top 10 list of the highest-grossing festivals of 2009.

Lady Gaga Bad Romance Most Viewed YouTube Video

We reported a few weeks ago that Lady Gaga had just become the first artist to surpass one billion online video views across her three most popular videos: Poker Face, Bad Romance, and Just Dance. That was without having the most viewed video on YouTube.

Now it looks like Lady Gaga is the Queen of YouTube too. Her video for Bad Romance is now the most viewed video in YouTube history. Nice timing for Lady Gaga. Tickets for her return to the U.S. are heating up. Here is the Bad Romance video that is currently tops in YouTube land.

Lady Gaga kicks off the second leg or her U.S. Monster Ball tour in Boston on July 1 and 2 at the TD Garden.

FanSnap’s Most Popular Artists for October

Music fans were on FanSnap in record numbers during October searching for their favorite performing artists on tour!  Taylor Swift (this week’s Saturday Night Live guest), Miley Cyrus, and U2 (who just announced new 2010 dates) remained the top three most searched for concert tickets.  The Boss moved up two slots from last month to #4 and Jay-Z, hot off his World Series game two performance, was up SIX slots to the #5 position.

Despite his recent reschedulings due to being under the weather, Elton John (touring with Billy Joel) returns to the hot list, along with AC/DC and Phish. Madonna’s wrestling partner, Lady Gaga, as well as TSBO are new to the list in October also.

FanSnap’s Most Popular Artists for July

Music fans continue to have an unbelievable number of entertainment choices this summer.   Interest in many of the acts has stayed strong all summer, even as new tours hit the road.

During July, hitmaker Taylor Swift retook the number one position as the most searched for artist on FanSnap.  Big movers were Dave Matthews, Kenny Chesney, and Keith Urban, all up several slots from June.  Fans voted with their round the clock searches, as Lil Wayne and Rascal Flatts moved into the top 15 “hot list” this month.

I am really looking forward to Pearl Jam announcing more shows soon!
