Bret Michaels

Bret Michaels is the lead singer of the popular ‘80s glam metal band Poison. The band's first album, Look What the Cat Dragged In, did not initially meet with much success but went platinum when they recorded the video for their song "Talk Dirty to Me." Over the last few years, Michaels has released solo material and toured on his own. His solo music has more of a country/blues tone than his work with Poison. Michaels has a number of solo albums to his credit and the hit single "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," written by Michaels as a member of Poison, is a power ballad which is considered to be "the ultimate 80s anthem about heartbreak."
