Chris Botti, American trumpeter and composer, has had a thriving career as a session musician. He has backed talented artists ranging from Thomas Dolby to Aretha Franklin to Paul Simon. Many of his compositions are a cross between jazz and pop music; his music has been branded as a genre of its own. His 2001 album Night Sessions has won him several accolades. With a number of Grammy award nominations to his credit, Chris Botti continues to enthrall his audiences worldwide.
