Union Transfer (Philadelphia, PA)
Sat, Aug 18, 2012 at 8:00PM

Brooklyn-based act Dirty Projectors have set themselves apart from the rest with their distinctive vocals and unique approach to arrangements, and the blending of lo-fi and hi-fi production. Creating alternative music, Dave Longstreth recorded and released The Glad Fact as the first album under the name Dirty Projectors in 2003. Morning Better Last and Slaves' Graves and Ballads followed soon after. Later albums The Getty Address and Rise Above have showcased the band's unique talents. Bitte Orca, the band's full length album released in 2009, has been described as "stunning."
