Drake's career in entertainment started with acting in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation, which he did for eight seasons of the series, as well as appearing in various episodes of other series. His musical career in rap and hip hop took off with the release of the mix tape Room for Improvement. Albums Comeback Season in 2007 and So Far Gone in 2009 ensured his success as a rapper, with the singles "Best I Ever Had" and "Successful" climbing into the top ten of Billboard Hot 100. Thank Me Later, his recently released debut album with lyrics powered by emotion, was No. 1 on Billboard 200 in its first week.
