Florence and the Machine, consisting of English singer Florence Welch and her band, produces hard rock and soul music. BBC played a great role in promoting her as a debut pop artist. The band captured the music world their debut album Lungs, earning them the No. 1 on the U.K. Album Chart and the Master Card British Album award at the 2010 Brit Award. Florence and the Machine played their 2010 MTV Video Music Award nominated "Dog Days Are Over" at the MTV gala.
