The Florida Gators play college football for the University of Florida in the Football Subdivision of the NCAA as a member of the Southeastern Conference. Their home is the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Florida Field, also known as the "Swamp." Located on the university's Gainesville campus, the stadium was built in 1930 and has been regularly expanded and improved, making it the 11th largest college football stadium in the U.S. The team is led by head coach Urban Meyer. Former Gators turned pro include Emmitt Smith, Fred Taylor, and Jack Youngblood.
