Playing their home games in the Bobby Bowden Field in the Doak Campbell Stadium, which is the largest football stadium in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), the Florida State Seminoles had their best seasons in the 1980s and 1990s. Between 1987 and 2000 under coach Bobby Bowden, the 'Noles won two national championships, 11 bowls, nine ACC championships, and had two Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks, Charlie Ward (1993) and Chris Weinke (2000). Out of 37 bowl games played, the team has a record of 21-14-2.
