The Goo Goo Dolls

The Goo Goo Dolls were just a young group of musicians playing alternative music in a garage when they picked the name for their band and subsequently their debut album. John Rzeznik on the vocals and guitar, Robby Takac on the bass guitar and lending his voice and George Tutuska on the drums made up the band in 1986 (though Tutuska left after A Boy Named Goo, which featured their hit song "Name"). Megahits "Iris," "Slide" and "Dizzy" from the album Dizzy Up Girl (1998) propelled the band towards success and fame. Later albums Gutterflower, Let Love In, and Something for the Rest of Us also feature hit singles, ensured that the band plays sold-out shows wherever they perform.
