Ian Anderson, the British singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is best known for his work as the leader of British rock band Jethro Tull. He has recorded several songs on which he plays all the instruments, also carrying out all the engineering and production. He still remains widely regarded as the man who introduced the flute to rock music. He was later appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2008 New Year Honours.
