Lewis Black is an American author, stand-up comedian and playwright, whose comedy style, which includes sarcasm, hyperbole, profanity, shouting, and trademark angry finger-shaking. His brash mannerisms bring emphasis to his topics of discussion, dealing with the absurdities of life and ridiculing history, politics, religion, trends and cultural phenomena. He makes regular appearances on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, delivering his "Back in Black" commentary segment. In 2007, his album The Carnegie Hall Performance won a Grammy award for Best Comedy Album. He performs over 200 shows a year to sold-out audiences.
