Louisiana Tech University's football program is represented by the Bulldogs of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The team currently plays in the NCAA Division I after competing at the Division II level for many years. Since the program's inception, it has compiled an all-time record of 549 wins, 415 defeats and 37 ties. The Joe Aillet Stadium has been the Bulldogs' home since 1968 and the team has won a total of three Division II national championships, 24 conference championships and played in five bowl games. Notable alumni includes quarterback Terry Bradshaw, a member of both the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
