The McNeese State Cowboys college football program represents McNeese State University in the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA). As a member of the Southland Conference, the Cowboys play their home games in the Cowboy Stadium, a 17,410-seater multipurpose venue in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Affectionately referred to as "The Hole," the stadium has a new artificial turf and the stands are usually packed with screaming Cowboys students and fans.
