Muse, the English alternative rock band comprising Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard, is from Teignmouth, Devon. They have played over 950 gigs in 47 countries. Muse is known for its energetic and extravagant live performances. Black Holes and Revelations earned Muse a Mercury Prize nomination and third place on the 2006 NME (New Media Express magazine) "Album of the Year" list. Muse's fifth studio album, The Resistance, was released in September 2009. Their 2010 cover of the song "Feeling Good" was voted the greatest cover of all time, according to an NME poll.
