American rock band My Morning Jacket was formed in 1998. The group consists of Jim James, Tom "Two-Tone Tommy" Blankenship, Patrick Hallahan, Carl Broemel, and Bo Koster. The band's debut album, The Tennessee Fire, was released in May 1999 and in the same year, Open Salon rock critic MJ Wycha called My Morning Jacket "the best thing to happen to rock music in years."
