American alternative rock band Nada Surf was formed in 1992. The band consists of Matthew Caws, Ira Elliot and Daniel Lorca. Their sixth album, If I Had A Hi-Fi, features their take on 12 of their favorite songs from other artists. During the summer of 1996, Nada Surf toured the United States with fellow rock band Superdrag, and their song "Popular" became a summer anthem as the band toured overseas.
