An orchestra which plays several genres of music apart from its classical concerts, the 75-year-old North Carolina Symphony performs at the Meymandi Concert Hall. The Symphony's contribution to children's music education is considerable and they perform 50 concerts a year exclusively for students around the state of North Carolina. Their critically-acclaimed recordings and concert series across the state are a treat for music lovers. The Symphony has 69 full time musicians.
