Peter Maffay

Peter Maffay, the German music sensation, was catapulted into fame when his first single "Du" became a major hit. His 1979 album Steppenwolf sold 1.6 million copies, a mark he set only to be broken by his album Revanche in 1980. Today he holds the German record with 14 albums that have sold more than a million copies. Four of Maffay's albums feature fairy tales about a little green dragon called "Tabaluga." Often incorporating music from artists around the world his work, Maffay has also appeared in two films, The Joker and Captured in Yemen.
