A Broadway production of the musical revue Beatlemania led to the formation of another successful musical, RAIN – A Tribute to the Beatles. Beginning in the 1970s as a club band playing Beatles songs, the act turned into a tribute band, trying to stay as authentic as possible to the Beatle image. RAIN opened on October 19, 2010, at the Neil Simon Theatre, its first Broadway run.
