Rutgers University men's basketball team the Scarlet Knights plays in the NCAA's Division I the Big East Conference. With a capacity of 8,000, the Louis Brown Athletic Center sees the Knights in their scarlet and black colors come out to play. Rutgers men's basketball last played in the NCAA tournament in 1991. On the women's side, the team advanced to its first National Championship game in 2007. They are coached by Basketball Hall of Famer C. Vivian Stringer.
