The American stand-up comedian and actor Sinbad became well known in the late 1980s and 1990s, featured on his own HBO specials and appearing on several television series including The Cosby Show and starring in its spin-off A Different World. He also starred in the films Houseguest, First Kid and Jingle All the Way. More recently, Sinbad has appeared on Celebrity Apprentice and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and his latest stand-up special, Where You Been?, was released on DVD in early 2010.
