Skrillex, is an electronic music producer and singer–songwriter (real name Sonny John Moore). After starting as lead singer in the band From First to Last in 2004, he left to pursue a solo career in 2007. In 2009, he began performing under the name Skrillex. He released "My Name is Skrillex" as a free download on MySpace, and then released two more EPs, "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" and "More Monsters and Sprites." In 2011, Skrillex was nominated for five Grammy Awards, winning three: Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Dance Recording, and Best Remixed Recording (Non-Classical). He was also named MTV's 2011 Electronic Dance Music Artist of the Year.
