With music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields, Sweet Charity is a musical which premiered in 1966 on Broadway. Based on Federico Fellini's screenplay for Nights Of Cabiria, the central character of this musical is a dancer-for-hire who works at a Times Square dance hall. The show was nominated for 12 Tony awards. It has been performed internationally as well, most notably at London's West End.
