Syracuse University's men's basketball team, the Orange, is a historically successful program. It plays in Division I of the NCAA as a part of the Big East Conference. Syracuse holds the NCAA record for 39 consecutive winning seasons. They won the NCAA tournament championship in 2003. The Syracuse Orangemen play home games at the Carrier Dome and have been prolific in advancing their players to the NBA, including superstar Carmelo Anthony. They are coached by NCAA legend Jim Boeheim.
