Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel is best known for a complex finger picking style and a high-energy performance. Through a readers' poll in Guitar Player Magazine Emmanuel was named the Best Acoustic Guitarist in the World in 2008 and 2010. Emmanuel is especially famous for how he uses the body of the guitar to play different percussion parts. Performing solo, he never plays to a set list and uses minimum effects and while recording, usually completes each song in a single take.
