Right Behind Visitors Bench!

Event Type: Football
Section: Lower East Stands 31
Row: 3

Right at the 50 yd line. Great view of field! Do not sit in the first couple of rows as the visiting team stands the whole game and moves up and down the sideline with the ball so the view of some parts of the field can be obstructed. Get VIP/pre-purchased parking if you can, otherwise getting in and out of Candlestick is a pain.

Great Atmosphere, Worst Pro Football Stadium

I have been going to Candlestick since it opened in 1960. It is the only baseball stadium still in use as a football stadium anywhere in the country. The seating arrangements and sightlines therefore are terrible. Even the best seats are located at strange angles to the field. Many of the "best" seats are too low to see much of anything. Avoid the first ten rows of Lower Box seats on the Niners side- some of the most expensive, but you really can't see much as the angle of the rise is so slight. Some of the Lower Reserve seats are partially view-obstructed by support poles. Other seats with clear views are very, very far from the field. Almost non-existent restrooms and concessions and the worst ingress-egress of any stadium in the US. Definitely get one of the pre-paid parking passes which will shorten the two hour wait to get out of the lot (not home, just out of the lot). Whenever buying tickets to a game here, make sure you know what you're getting. In short, the former owner of the Niners, Eddie Debartolo Jr. said it best: "this place is a pig sty!"
