The first twenty rows in Shoreline are awesome. You are under the "tent" so you don't have to worry about the wind or rain. The stage is below you so you have a awesome view of the band. In Sec 103, the food and restrooms are basically at the top of the stairs.
You get surprisingly good sound on the lawn, but you'll probably end up watching the screens instead of the stage. Parking is ok, but it can be tricky getting out - I always leave 10 minutes before the end. Can they just build some decent bathrooms?
I had the chance to view the 8/5/09 Phish show at Shoreline from the luxury box - B6 specifically. While these seats weren't cheap, they did provide an excellent, unobstructed view of the show. Plus the boxes are roomy enough that you're not crowed in like the other seats in the reserved sections at Shoreline. On top of that you have a waitress or waiter that comes around serving drinks through out the show. We had an absolute blast and would totally recommend the luxury box. The seats also came with a VIP parking spot that made it easy coming and going from the show.

I had seats 19 and 20 in Section 102 Row N for the Maroon 5/Counting Crows show. The seats were towards the middle of the section so I had a great view of the performers which tend to set up on center stage. Since this section is in the center, you also have a great view of both large screens if you're sitting in a row that's further back. No matter where you sit in this venue, it will take you a long time to get to parking or concessions. I always leave before the final song so I avoid the congestion in the parking lot. Parking is free but it's a longgggg distance from the front gate. Food is expensive and not very tasty - recommend bringing your own feed in as they didn't seem to check bags.
Super close to stage. Saw Nickelback and was close enough for them to throw beer on us! Row C is actually seventh row. Positive: rows wrap around so high teen number seats are even closer to stage. Downside: right in front of left speakers so bring ear plugs - sound quality suffers. VIP parking available from LiveNation site - not cheap but will save you an hour getting in and out. Come in on Rengstorff, not Shoreline, Ave. The best food by far is the barbeque pork sandwich from a little shack you get to by turning left after coming in entrance

If you have general admission lawn seats be sure to seat yourself in the middle of the lawn area. Sound is surprisingly good if you're sitting straight away from the center of the stage between the two display screens. The sound gets dramatically worse at either end of the lawn by the exits. BTW, paying the extra couple of dollars for premium parking is always worth it at Shoreline.
