Inspired by music legends Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Metallica, Danish rock band Volbeat have been playing a fusion of early rock and roll, heavy metal and rockabilly since their inception in 2001. Michael Poulsen, lead guitarist and vocalist, along with Thomas Bredahl (guitar) Anders Kjolholm (bass) and drummer Jon Larsen, make up this motley crew, having released three studio albums and one DVD. Their albums are all certified gold in Denmark and Finland. Their name is derived from an album Vol.Beat by Poulsen's former band, Dominius.
